Development of IPM for broad-acre cropping in Australia

Client: Grains Research and Development Corporation

Project delivery period: 2005-2008

The Grains Research and Development Council (GRDC) commissioned IPM Technologies to conduct a project to develop and implement IPM in broad-acre cropping in southern Australia.  We worked with collaborating farmers and independent agronomists to demonstrate how IPM could work and how there was no need for routine application of broad-spectrum insecticides.  The project was highly successful with adoption of IPM on whole farms by collaborating farmers and the further extension of the approach by collaborating agronomists.
